By NicoletryHigher.com is sponsored by Higher International, a Christian leadership team dedicated to working with students, parents, faculty, and staff to promote servant-leadership, moral integrity, and practical spirituality on college campuses for the purpose of calling a generation of students higher.
Trevor Francis, Ed.D., is an award-winning academic counselor, speaker, and founder of Higher International, a ministry promoting spiritual leadership on college campuses. He works yearly with a population of 800-900 college students and has a heart for challenging students to fulfill their God-given destinies. He recently published his first book Try Higher: The Call to Every College Student (2009) and has also published articles in YouthWorker Journal. Trevor is a graduate of the University of Arkansas’s Higher Education Leadership Program. He enjoys learning, discussing true spirituality, and being with Nicole, his wife and best friend. One of his favorite undergraduate experiences was working for the Salvation Army, and one of his favorite graduate experiences was presenting at the National Communication Association (NCA) in Washington D.C. Nicole Dablemont Francis, M.A., is a first-generation college graduate. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology with Magna Cum Laude honors. She then went on to graduate with her Master’s degree in English. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her school career and defended two theses. Her favorite college experiences were living on campus, studying abroad in London for a summer, and getting married. Nicole currently works for the Arkansas Leadership Academy at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.
